Commission Meeting
September 11, 1996
Page Five

Mr. Dolansky stated that the first Halloween Open House will be held on Sunday, October
27 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. the members of the Commission were asked to be in
attendance as costume judges. “The Community’s Place to Haunt” flyers will go out to
the schools and we are encouraging everyone to come in costume. The maintenance
personnel will be dressed as hobo’s, lifeguards will be in Polynesian costumes, rink guards
will be Keystone Cops and the supervisory staff is keeping their costumes secrete. This
event will be held on a yearly basis in the future.

Report of the Safety Director
Due to a conflict in her schedule Mrs. Kasler was not present, therefore there was no
report.

Report of Subcommittees
No report was offered at this time because there are no active subcommittees.

Old Business
Mr. Dolansky replied he had an answer for Bob Kasler, from the June 12, 1996 meeting
regarding the lack of merchandise sales during 1995. The report initially did not have
merchandise sales separated from golf course income so no exact figures are denoted
during this time period. In 1996 the sale of merchandise was separated from the golf
course revenue to specifically denote the activity in this operation.

New Business
Dave Gardner inquired if there were any plans to include a larger area for a picnic pavilion
at Springvale. He noted that picnic pavilion areas seem to be very popular at golf courses.
Mr. Dolansky replied that there is very little extra land near the clubhouse and ballroom
which could be serviced effectively from the kitchen during outings. He stated that this
was a very valid concept though and this idea would be passed on to the engineers when
they are developing their site plans for this. Commissioner Dolansky stated that it is very
important to have these picnic areas serviceable by the kitchen for serving food and
beverages and for purposes of supervision.

There being no further business, a motion was made, seconded and passed to adjourn the
meeting.

______________________________ ____________________________
Dave Gardner, Chairman Patricia Scott, Secretary
