<br />North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />January 15, 1997 <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Attendance: Mike Dolansky, Commissioner <br /> Dave Gardner, Chairman <br /> Robert Kasler, Member <br /> Claire Hayes, School Board Member <br /> Janet Saringer, City Council Member <br /> Rich Scott, Member <br /> <br />Absent: Carolyn Kasler, Safety Director <br /> Todd Morgan, Assistant Commissioner <br /> Diane Koster Marquard, Member <br /> <br />Mr. Gardner, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. The minutes of the last meeting <br />were reviewed as distributed and a motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed with <br />approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Gardner stated that Diane Koster Marquard submitted her resignation due to a conflict with a <br />continuing education course which also meets on Wednesday evenings. Mr. Dolansky stated that <br />the Board position held by Ms. Marquard was appointed by the Mayor and he will need to be <br />apprised of this resignation so he may consider another candidate. Mr. Gardner suggested that <br />the terms of the Board members should also be investigated to make sure that they are all still <br />active. Mr. Scott noted that he thought this had been documented two or three years ago. In <br />reference to the resignation of Ms. Marquard, Mr. Dolansky stated that after the last Board <br />member resigned they were presented with a small recognition plaque. The Board members <br />agreed that any member leaving the Parks and Recreation Commission on good grounds should <br />be recognized in some small way. <br /> <br />Report by Recreation Commissioner: <br />Mr. Dolansky referred to the December 1996 Month-to-Date Income Report to note that <br />revenues for gymnastics, exercise, tennis and the pool have increased. The pro shop and team <br />sales revenue pictures are down slightly from the previous year. He noted that the overall figures <br />are down $22,000 for the month mainly because of the ice rink. A portion of the $22,000 <br />decrease is due to conflicts in billings owed by the Hockey Club which <br /> <br />
