A
motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to accept the minutes as mailed.

Visitors Opportunity to Address Commission
Annie Wiederstein introduced a proposal to develop a special incentive program to promote
increased use of the Parks & Recreation facility and programs.

Under the City of North Olmsted Charter the Hotels and Motels are assessed a Hotel/Motel tax
at a rate of 14.5% per occupied room which is typically an additional cost passed to the
customer. Mrs. Wiederstien is requesting to offer an incentive for people traveling to attend
our facility at resident rate.

Ellen Harrison stated she would like to know if the roof would be completed in time for their fall
programs. Mr. Jenkins replied that they had a meeting with three representatives from
Polyteck and they were trying to get approval to go ahead with the project. Mr. Jenkins will
have Mr. Bohlmann contact Ms. Harrison to let her know what the status is on the roof.
