Mr. Gardner inquired as to whether or not it has been looked at as far as liability for our before
and after care programs. Daycare versus not daycare. Mr. Morgan stated that he would again
look into the liability and regulations.

Mr. Miller asked for confirmation that it is planned to “dump” the dump truck in lieu of a new
road sign. Mr. Jenkins responded yes. Mr. Miller referred to the purchase of 10 new ballasts and
asked if it is felt that this would eliminate the buzzing. Mr. Morgan stated that it will help, but not
totally eliminate all buzzing. It is not possible to replace all 70 at once. Mr. Miller inquired if
auto flushers have been installed in all restrooms. Mr. Morgan said yes, with the exception of the
ladies’ pool locker room. Lastly, Mr. Miller asked what of the entire project has come out of the
Recreation budget for the skate park. Mr. Morgan stated that no monies have come out of the
Recreation budget for the skate park. Mr. Miller asked if anything has come out of the Service
Dept. budget. Mr. Morgan suggested he speak with Mr. Ralph Bohlman, as he does not know.

Mr. Morgan then discussed Revenue. He noted some of the major concerns.
?

Pool is down $5,000 due to public swims are down slightly
?

Rink is down $19,000 largely due to Hockey Club being slow payers and the Hockey North
America Club (HNA) has outstanding invoices. Also, public skates have been down slightly.
?

Rec is down $1800 This may be due to the slow registrations for Tackle Football. Also the
registration fee required is now at $15 versus the prior full $90 registration fee for football.
?

Concession is down slightly due to traffic in the building is down – i.e. public swims and
public skates attendance is down

Mr. Morgan stated that the numbers will be looked at closely for public swims and skates and try
to determine if there is any one reason or just the typical yearly fluctuation. He stated that we are
working closely with the Hockey Club to obtain payments. And that HNA is being monitored
closely and ice will be pulled if they get too far behind and make no attempt of payment.

Mr. Morgan feels that with the rink summer programs and the $36,000 contract with Mr.
Marshall, the concession revenue and game room revenue should increase.

This concludes Mr. Morgan’s report.

REPORT BY MR. TOM JENKINS, SAFETY DIRECTOR
None.

SUB-COMMITTEE REPORT
None.

OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Miller inquired on the status of the hot tub / sauna cost and U-bends in the rink. Mr. Morgan
stated that quotations have been obtained, but he did not have them on hand. Mr. Stein has also
obtained prices on the U-bends. It was noted that with the summer rink programs, it may not be
Page 4
