<br /> <br /> <br />NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />March 26, 2001 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Attendance: Claire Hayes, Chairman <br /> Dave Gardner, Vice Chairman <br />Tom Jenkins, Safety Director <br /> Paul Miller, Council Rep. Member <br /> Richard Scott, Member <br />Axel Hoyer, Member <br /> <br />Absent: Todd Morgan, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br />Visitors: Duane Limpert, City Council Member <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(This month’s commission meeting was held at Tony Roma’s Restaurant) <br />. <br /> <br />Dave Gardner called the meeting to order and roll-call was taken. All current members of the <br />commission were in attendance. Commissioner, Todd Morgan, was not present. <br /> <br />Tom Jenkins introduced Mr. Axel Hoyer, the Mayor’s newly appointed commission member. He <br />replaces Tim Smith. Axel was approved by the legislative committee of council two weeks ago. <br />Axel has been active with football, basketball, and was president of Hot Stove baseball for a <br />couple of years. He is very active within the community. All welcomed him “aboard”. <br /> <br />Mr. Jenkins then introduced the recreation center program directors, who were present to update <br />the committee on their individual department progress. Present were: Doug Nist, Aquatic <br />Supervisor, Betsy Drenski, Rink Supervisor, and Jason Frolo, Program Supervisor. <br /> <br />Last month’s minutes were reviewed. No changes or corrections were cited. Rich Scott made <br />stnd <br />the 1 motion to approve the minutes, with a 2 by Paul Miller. All were in favor. <br /> <br />Reports by Todd Morgan and Tom Jenkins included the program directors’ reports. <br /> <br />REPORT BY DOUG NIST, AQUATICS SUPERVISOR <br /> <br />We are experiencing good numbers in water exercise classes. Aqua deep and aerobics are picking <br />up in attendance. The outdoor pool being looked at to get it up and running – painting and <br />preparation.
