Finally, Mr. Jenkins suggested Mr. Morgan, Mr. Klesta and the NOHC <br />get together and discuss these determinations and attempt to come to a reasonable solution. <br /> <br />Due to fact that Mr. Miller had to depart rather quickly to attend a Council meeting, the following <br />ordinances were briefly discussed and defined for Mr. Miller to present to Council: <br /> <br /> <br />?Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract between Karrie Skall-Tipton and the <br />North Olmsted Recreation Center <br /> <br />?Revenue Split Structure (Tipton/NORC): <br />*Up to $1000 – 50/50 split <br />*$1000 to $3000 – 60/40 split <br />*Over $3000 – 70/30 split <br /> <br />?Mrs. Tipton is no longer conducting exercise programs due to loss of revenue; Contract to <br />do gymnastics programs only <br /> <br />?NORC has taken over exercise programs; More cost effective for NORC; 100% revenue; <br />Will go “hand-in-hand” with fitness center proposed for 2002; This took effect as of <br />August 2001 and this ordinance will ratify this issue <br /> <br />?Equipment owned jointly by NORC, N.O. schools and Karrie Tipton; At this time, it is not <br />determined who owns what percentage; If it becomes an issue due to Mrs. Tipton <br />departing, it will be determined by the lawyers who gets what equipment <br /> <br />?The only change we foresee is that the split structure may change to 50/60/80, and make <br />Mrs. Tipton responsible for all equipment replacement <br /> <br />?Ordinance 01-122 authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract between Jeff Marshall and <br />the NORC, and to be retroactive to encumber 2/26/01 – 6/30/02 <br /> <br />?Contract to conduct Learn To Skate (AKA “North Olmsted Skating Academy”) program <br />and be paid $6.00/student; His contract has been pending since February between his <br />lawyer and our Law Department, therefore, Jim Dubelko suggested his contract be made <br />retroactive to February, the start of his program <br /> <br />?Mr. Miller inquired about the wording referring to Mr. Marshall as “Director of Ice <br />Skating” <br /> <br />?Mr. Jim Dubelko, in the Law Dept chose the wording <br /> <br />?Suggested by Mr. Morgan to change wording to “Director of North Olmsted Skating <br />Academy”, which is our in-house learn to skate program under the supervision of <br />Betsy Drenski as Rink Supervisor <br /> <br />?Ordinance 01-111 for the design of building improvements at North Olmsted Park, including <br />concession stands, storage room, restrooms, and shelter areas, and declaring an emergency <br />reading <br /> <br />?Mr. Miller asked if there was still a plan being developed for general improvements and <br />does that plan and this ordinance mesh well and integrate with this ordinance? Yes, they <br />are one in the same per Tom Jenkins <br /> <br />?Chagrin Valley is the firm providing the plan blue-prints <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Jenkins suggested the following issues be addressed at length during the next meeting: <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />
