?

Taking the existing Baseball Diamond #1 and exchanging it with Softball Diamond # 4
at North Olmsted Park.
?

Diamond # 4 would become a premier baseball diamond
?

The Varsity Baseball boosters would raise funds (approximately $60,000) to create a
new elite field.
?

The field would have a different configuration than the current softball diamond.
Home plate would placed in a different location
?

This new field would feature a new backstop, sideline fencing, a home run fence,
players bench areas, grandstands and a dirt infield with drainage.
?

This new field would be completely enclosed and would be used by the Varsity team
during its Spring season in April and May.
?

Hot Stove and other groups with older aged (15years-18 years) could use the field
when the Varsity Season has been completed.
?

Diamond # 1 would become a softball diamond and NOSA would place its existing
leagues at this new location.
?

The North Olmsted Softball Organization (N.O.S.A.) welcomes this idea. They would
donate funds for a new backstop at Diamond # 1 and would donate an additional
$25,000 for future lighting of the diamond. It is closer in proximity to softball play on
Diamond # 2.
?

A second lighted field in North Olmsted would allow growth of adult softball
programs. Leagues are full to capacity and new teams have difficulty gaining access to
play.

OFFICIAL MINUTES:
th
Once the 4 member was present, the meeting was officially called to order and was roll-call
taken. Roll-call taken; all in favor; motion passed. Bill inquired on
a time frame for this project. Todd stated that the fabricator felt if we had the bid specs ready by
st
the end of July, he could almost guarantee installation by November 1. This coincides with the
start of fall swim season. Council adjourns for the summer however with tomorrow’s meeting,
and they will need to approve proposal for bid. Lisa will attempt to get it on tomorrow’s docket,
however, she is not too confident they will pass it under suspension for three readings just hearing
nd
it tomorrow night. She feels we may be able to get it by the 2 meeting of August, and have the
specs ready to go the next day. This will be the intended goal.

Lisa was brought up to date on the NOHC proposal to refurbish the rink classroom and storage
area.
