<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF <br />THE NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />February 5, 2007 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />In Attendance: Anna Kanis, Chairperson <br />John J. Lasko, Jr., Co-Chairperson <br /> <br />Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner <br /> <br /> Paul Barker, Councilman <br /> John Dailey, Director, Community Life Services <br /> Terry Groden, Member <br /> Chris Scarl, Member <br /> <br /> <br />Visitor: Ed Garrity, NOHC <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Lasko opened the meeting and roll call was taken. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Mr. Lasko said that the first order of business would be to take the Oath of Office for the new <br />Commission members, Mr. Groden and Mr. Scarl. Mr. Lasko asked that the two new members stand; <br />the oath was read upon their raising their right hands as follows: <br /> <br />I, (Terry Groden; Chris Scarl), do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the <br />United States of America, the Constitution and Laws of the State of Ohio, the Charter and <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, and that I will faithfully, honestly and impartially <br />discharge the duties of Recreation Commission Member for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />th <br />to the best of my ability, this date of February 5 2007, so help me God. <br /> <br />The commission present then congratulated the two new members. <br /> <br />NOMINATION OF REC COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON <br /> <br />Mr. Dailey then nominated Ms. Anna Kanis to be Rec Commission Chairperson for the year 2007, <br />after it was discerned that, because of a conflict of interest, the Director and Councilman could not <br />serve. After the Motion was duly seconded by Mr. Lasko, roll was taken. Mr. Lasko, Mr. Dailey, <br />Mr. Barker, Mr. Scarl, and Mr. Groden all replied affirmatively, and the Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />At this point, Mr. Lasko noted that he was serving as Chairman Pro Tem for the first part of the <br />meeting and Ms. Kanis could, in her elected position as Chairperson of the Commission, assume <br />control of the meeting. <br /> <br />
