Minutes of a Meeting of
The Parks and Recreation Commission
May 2, 2005

representatives could get together on what they would like done. Mr. Jesse said that what really
puzzled him is that the city just put two co-locators on as well as a third locator that’s already
there. The Cingular rep was to meet with his people on Wednesday and get back to Mr. Jesse,
who feels confident that the Clague Road Park Tower will stay. It’s good for another 15 years as
far as a long-term lease is concerned, and the prospect for doing another tower now at the new
fire station is strong. Mr. Jesse urged the Commission to keep an eye on this matter so that the
Rec can take advantage of the money as they have with the other tower in lieu of not locating at
the park, but let the fire station have it. There is a 3% adjustment annually to CEI on the co-
locators, and a five-year kicker on the master lease. The original master lease started off at $500
a month, and it is up to $700 a month now. In July of 2007 it will kick up again for inflation.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Baxter made a Motion that the Commission pass a Resolution thanking Mr. Jesse for his
service to the City and the Parks and Recreation Commission, in particular for the time he spent
with it and all the time he spent on its behalf. Mr. Kelley concurred and seconded; all were in
favor, and the Resolution passed unanimously, with thanks to Mr. Jesse.

MOTION TO ADJOURN

After motion made and duly seconded, all were in favor, and the Meeting adjourned at
8:40 p.m.

Accepted and Approved:

________________________________________________________________________
William D. Kelley, Chairman

________________________________________________________________________
Judith A. Ptacek-Roche, Secretary

Date: _____________________________

Page 17
