Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
September 12, 2005

some talk that the Rec could put into the deal that we would get a percentage of the sales, but the
one thing that is complex about that is that they have ways they can beat us on that by just routing
the hockey team through another one of its locations. The Safety Director said he wants to keep
it simple; take the inventory over and sell it for the Rec Department or whatever deal worked out
and then a certain amount of money is owed per month and have in the contract the hours
guaranteed to keep open. Mr. Limpert wanted to run this by the Commission. Mr. Baxter said it
sounds like a great idea. Mr. Limpert asked what it would cost to job out the skate sharpening:
Mr. DiSalvo said that money per hour is $10, and we are always behind on that. Today it’s $4 or
less to have skates sharpened. It’s embarrassing because no one is available to sharpen skates for
a tournament or something. Mr. Limpert asked if it was the opinion of the Commission to go for
it. Mr. DiSalvo said that the company said they would maintain the hours the Rec is open
anyway. Mr. Lasko said it sounds like a good deal. Mr. Kelley said that, as long as Mr. DiSalvo
recommends it, he doesn’t see why the Commission shouldn’t go along with it. Mr. Kelley made
a Motion to pursue leasing out the Pro Shop; seconded by Mr. Lasko. All were in favor by
signifying with an aye.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

Upon Motion made and duly seconded, the meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m. The next
meeting of the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission will be October 3, 2005.

Accepted and Approved:

________________________________________________________________________
William D. Kelley, Chairman

________________________________________________________________________
Judith A. Ptacek-Roche, Secretary

Date: _____________________________

Page 19
