MINUTES OF A MEETING OF
THE NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
April 3, 2006

Meeting called to order: 7:03 p.m.

In Attendance: William D. Kelley, Chairman
Ted DiSalvo, Commissioner
Betsy Drenski, Assistant Commissioner
Paul Barker, Councilman
Nicole Dailey Jones, Councilperson
Norman Baxter, Member
Randi Jones, Member
Anna Kanis, Member

Visitors: Ed Garrity, NOHC
Charles Dial
Becky Shank, All Scouts

VISITORS’ OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS COMMISSION

Ms. Shank came to the meeting about a year ago to speak about the All Scouts’ labeling of trees and
perhaps planting a buckeye tree or two. Since that time, she had two boys come forward looking for
projects for their Eagle project. Some confusion has arisen as to what is wanted for them to do. It shouldn’t be
very complicated. If the scouts present their plans, they will get reviewed either as a yes or no, and
the Rec Department will go forward with them. The Commissioner also believed that more approval
than the Rec Commission is necessary; however, the first approval was to come from the Rec
Commission. If the scouts will submit their plans, the Recreation Department can make adjustments
and arrangements from those plans and go forward with them. Mr. DiSalvo asked the Commission if
