Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
April 3, 2006
Page Two

there would be any problem moving forward with the project; the Commission members were all in
favor of it.

Ms. Shank asked if the fences around the ball field on All Scouts Weekend could be down (June 9, 10,
and 11). Mr. DiSalvo said he would verify take-down dates with the High School grounds
supervisor.

The members of the Commission then thanked Ms. Shank for her time and information.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of March 2006

Upon Motion made by Mr. Kelley, seconded by Ms. Kanis, the Minutes of March 2006 were approved
unanimously. Upon Motion made by Mr. Kelley, seconded by Mr. Baxter, the Minutes of the Special
Meeting of March 18, 2006 were unanimously approved.

SUB COMMITTEE REPORTS

None

REPORT OF THE RECREATION COMMISSIONER

Mr. Kelley asked Mr. Barker if Council had approved the finances for the Rec Department for the
fiscal year 2006. Mr. Barker said, yes, Council had, at a special meeting, with just a few minor
changes.

Income Report

Mr. DiSalvo said that the Income Report is two pages; the first page is month-to-date March 2006
revenue detail page, and the second page is the Income Statement for January, February and March
year-to-date totals. The Commissioner said he has nothing in detail to report because the report was
self-explanatory and opened the floor to questions. Ms. Drenski said that Jenny Couts ran a spring
break camp last week and, if you see the enrichment program at $10,380, you can see that the camp
went well. There were about 35 children in it, Monday through Friday; last year she ran a small one,
but this year it really took off. There will be another one offered for schools that are off later in the
month. The age group was five to twelve. Mr. Barker asked if these figures are running above, below
or average for what is normally done every March. Also, looking at the income statement on the
second page, there is tax revenue for January and February and nothing in March. Mr. DiSalvo

Page 2
