Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
January 9, 2006
Page Seven

Tennis

Ms. Powell was asked by Ms. Jones how the ballasts were doing in the Tennis Department. In her
opinion, Ms. Powell said that they are still noisy. Mr. DiSalvo said that the noise was at an
“acceptable decibel” right now. Ms. Powell said that she compared North Olmsted to other tennis
court facilities and wanted to share with Mr. DiSalvo what she learned. She thought the noise
interferes with the game. Ms. Powell added that she needs to concentrate and block out the noise and,
secondly, she can’t hear scores called or instructor(s) over all the noise. Noise should not interfere
with a tennis match. Mr. Kelley asked Ms. Powell if she would talk to Mr. DiSalvo about this matter
after her investigation; she said she would. Mr. DiSalvo stated that he has not received any additional
complaints from the Tennis Supervisor or patrons regarding noise from the ballasts.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled for February
6, 2006.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

Upon Motion made by Mr. Kelley, duly seconded by Ms. Kanis and unanimously approved,
the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

Accepted and Approved:

________________________________________________________________________
William D.
