Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
April 7, 2008

will be pushed back two weeks. Spring Registration will be in April instead of March, and that’s the
6,000. Ms. Drenski can account for the 6,000 in the month that is totaled; not in the year that is
totaled. Again, that goes into the projection percentage.

Tennis, as usual, Pat (Cunningham) shows fine on this. Month to Date, she’s had 1800; Year to Date,
she’s had 5,000.

Team Sports – Chris (Wetmore) is doing a good job collecting his revenue and income, despite his
being ahead 375 ahead Month to Date – Year to Date he’s up 3,300.

This concluded the Revenue Report.

Note: The Commissioner knows the Pool Supervisor knows she has revenue to make up, and there’s
plenty of time to make up that revenue, mainly with rentals, especially over the summer.

As low as it was over the past two years over the summer, Betsy (Drenski) has a lot of ice reserved
that will probably make up for the lack of income generated in March. Mr. Dailey observed that the
Rec had to cancel Friday Nite Skate; Mr. Lasko said the Rec lost a whole weekend during the
snowstorm. Mr. Dailey said we also lost a tournament, but that was paid. Mr. Lasko said there won’t
be a wrinkle in the summer this year compared to last year.

Expense Report

Mr. DiSalvo said that on Expenses, the year is divided by twelve to come up with percentages. That is
usually the best guide for this, because the expenses generally do fall throughout the year.

Administration came in at 25.80%; we should be at 25.00%, so we are behind about $2,400.

Enrichment Programs should be at 25.00%; she only came in at 10.00%; that’s mainly because she has
no payroll right now. She’s collecting the revenues, but no expenses are going out for payroll.

Maintenance: again, Tom (Stein) is doing a good job. We had to buy some things a little bit early to
get some machines up and running, so he’s at 28.60%, he should be at 25.00%. Mainly because
operations are shifting outdoors, in the next two months we will be saving more.

The Pool is at 30.10% currently because we already purchased the new pool filter. That’s under Cap,
but fell under the Pool Department expense Cost Center. That number will start to even out as well.
That was just purchased last month, because it went through. Mr. Dailey said that went through
probably January or February. The Commissioner repeated that’s why the number is a little bit high
for the pool.

The Ice Rink is at 26.20%.
Page 3
