Minutes of a Meeting of the
North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Commission
February 4, 2008

nice bags. Mr. Dailey said it would be a nice, natural fit with a sports arena and doctors and
equipment-type things.

Mr. Groden asked if there were any other questions.

This concluded the report of the Community Life Services Director.

OLD BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

YMCA Advertisement

Mr. Groden showed an advertisement from the YMCA that arrived via the mail today at his home. He
knew that in previous meetings there had been discussions about at one time the Rec Center sent home
just the single cards; at other times there has been an entire pamphlet. The cards we felt didn’t have
enough information, and the pamphlets were too costly. He asked if something like the YMCA
advertisement would work for the Rec Center. Mr. Dailey said he saw the same thing today and liked
the way it was laid out, it being a single sheet and something worth looking into. Mr. DiSalvo said it
is nice, compact, and neat. Ms. Drenski showed the last one sent by the Rec Department showing a
lot of waste on the paper. Jenny (Couts) was going to see if something else could be added with
spring and summer and Chris with Team Sports.

Mr. Dailey said Mr. Groden’s advertisement from the YMCA is still worth looking into. Mr. DiSalvo
agreed that it’s neatly done; doubts that it’s done in-house, and the Rec would hire a printing company
to advertise in this venue.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

After Motion duly made by Mr. Dailey, seconded by Mr. Baxter, and unanimously approved,
the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. The next scheduled meeting of the North Olmsted Parks
and Recreation Commission will be March 3, 2008.

Accepted and Approved:
______________________________________________
Terry Groden, Chairperson
______________________________________________
Judith A. Ptacek-Roche, Secretary

Date: _____________________________
Page 6
