EXPENSE REPORT:

Ms. Leaver presented the expense report for the month of July. Maintenance overtime
year to date has more than doubled compared to last year. This is in part due to furloughs
and the replacement of part time employees. The administration is currently rearranging
schedules, hiring more part time employees and training additional employees on the
Zamboni to avoid most of the overtime in the future.

OLD BUSINESS:

Mr. Groden stated that the school board would be meeting to discuss pay to participate
for Winter sports and possibly Spring sports programs. When the school board first
approved of the pay to participate it was for Fall programs only with the hopes that the
levy would pass in August. Now that the levy has failed they will meet concerning
pay to participate beyond Fall.

Ms. Drenski wanted it noted that the Recreation Center is holding ice time and pool
time for the schools however, there are others looking to rent this time stressing the
importance of the decision from the school board regarding this matter. Mr. Groden
assured Ms. Drenski that the school Superintendent as well as the board have been
informed of the urgency to settle this matter.

Mr. Scarl stated the importance of the Recreation programs having access to the schools
after school hours and the negative affect on revenues should that not happen. Also, why
we cannot get a definitive answer from the school board. Mr. Groden stated that was a
separate issue from whether or not there will be interscholastic sports opportunities for
Winter and Spring. It is a side issue as to whether or not the school district has enough
money to keep the school building open past a certain time. The administration says that
if the levy does not pass before the school year begins that part of the cost containment
measures will be closing the buildings at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Groden said he will again pass
along the urgency of this situation to the Superintendent.

Ms. Leaver confirmed that the speed bumps at North Olmsted Park were to be installed
within the week and there will be warning signs posted at the entrance.

Mr. Groden asked about any update on the surveillance cameras. Ms. Leaver replied a
decision was made to install the cameras at the back of the building and the installation
is in progress.
