NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION December 1, 2003 Meeting called to order: 7:08 p.m. In Attendance: Claire Hayes, Chairman Norm Baxter, Member Michael R. Gareau, Jr., Councilman Richard Jesse, Safety Director Randi Jones, Member Anna Kanis, Member William D. Kelley, Member Ted DiSalvo, Recreation Commissioner Visitor: Councilman Duane Limpert SUB COMMITEE REPORT Mr. Gareau was unable to secure the necessary files for the Sub Committee on the Use of the Rec Facility, so the meeting was postponed until next month. Mr. Jesse asked Mr. Gareau what could be expected at the January meeting. Mr. Gareau responded that the usage would be limited to those who have a direct relationship with the recreational facility. The basic issue centers on what to be done with the front area of the Rec Center, which matter will be left to the Law Department. This will be drafted for the next meeting. Mr. Gareau also reminded the Commission that he will be rotated out of the Rec Committee at the end of the year, but he will make sure this matter is handled before that time. Meeting Called to Order/Minutes Approved The Meeting was called to order and roll-call taken. The November minutes were approved as read upon Motion duly made and seconded. Roll call was taken; Mr. Jesse abstaining in his November absence. There were no corrections or additions. REPORT BY RECREATION COMMISSIONER Financial Report Mr. DiSalvo reported that he is meeting with the Financial Director at the end of 2003. The expenses and finances are supposed to be one month behind. However it is that the income statements are two months behind is not right. The best that can be done for next year is that the numbers will be one month behind. With expenses only being a month behind and income being
