REVENUE / EXPENSE: <br /> <br />Ms. Drenski reported that overall revenue figures are ahead over last year. The rink is up quite <br />a bit. It helped having Brunswick, Westlake and Avon in this year, they are also booked for next <br />year. Enrichment revenue has increased by making sure all funds are collected and accounted <br />for. We are still making changes in the pool area as far as programming, so we will see as we <br />go through the year other changes that may be needed. Ms. Figueira noted that she has started <br />an adult Masters Swim Team which will help with revenue as the team grows. Olmsted Falls <br />high school boosters club are looking to hold their meets here. They are currently using up to <br />four different pools during the year and would like to consolidate to one location. Ms. Figueira <br />is also looking into have Avon Lake here as well. <br /> <br />Ms. Drenski stated as far as expenditures they are being watched very closely and we are doing <br />well. All Capital Improvement monies that were budgeted for other areas this year will be <br />transferred to the pool dehumidification and roof projects along with the $203,000 we borrowed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEMBER TOPICS: <br /> <br />Mr. Ruggles asked Mr. Wetmore if there has been any progress with getting electricity on <br />diamond number one. Mr. Wetmore replied that George Verlich is currently replacing the <br />scoreboard and he has asked him if he would include some outlets as well. <br /> <br />Mr. Kearney asked if the kick board had been removed at Barton Bradley Park. Mr. Wetmore <br />stated that it has been removed. <br /> <br /> <br />GUEST TOPICS: <br /> <br />Ms. Powell wanted to complement on all the new and current programs that are being offered <br />at the Recreation Center, and how well the center is being managed along with the responsive- <br />ness and enthusiasm of the Recreation Administration. Patrons can see the improvements and <br />they are very proud of their Recreation Center. <br /> <br />Ms. Powell asked if the condensation issues in Tennis will be eliminated with the roof repair <br />project. Mr. Wetmore stated the area directly over the Tennis courts is not part of the project, it <br />is not a flat roof but a pitched roof. The area in Tennis that will be improved is over the locker <br />rooms, office and lobby. Ms. Drenski said she would have Brewer Garrett look into it. <br /> <br />Ms. Powell also inquired about increasing the viewing area in Tennis. Mr. Wetmore received <br />a quote in May and we are currently looking to have two 72” windows installed by the end of <br />December in time for the tournament in January. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
