ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION CONT.:

th
The rink will reopen on June 20 to the public with the exception of the studio rink, which will
be covered and used for Summer Camp activities, training for the Cleveland Edges, Learn to
th
Skate camp and Hockey school and will reopen August 24. The outdoor pool is being painted
thth
and will open on June 8. The indoor pool will close August 13 and we are working on getting
a new APR system and the plan is to get it installed while the outdoor pool is still open. We will
also be painting the indoor pool and will reopen after Labor Day.

Ms. Drenski stated that she is setting up a time to meet with all of the staff that includes front
desk, supervisors, maintenance, and rink staff to be sure everyone is on the same page, and
addressing any issues.

A new check list has been put in place for the maintenance staff to help monitor cleaning duties,
special projects and improve communication.

RECREATION REPAIRS / WORK UPDATE:

Concerning the compressors, seven are running now. When the rink is shut down, we will
install the new controller and do some minor repairs. All eight will be running when the rink
reopens in June.

The Concession area has been painted, new lights have been installed as well as new ceiling
tiles.

Ms. Drenski stated that she would be meeting with Bryan O’Malley and Brewer Garrett on May
rd
3 to finalize the preventive maintenance agreement.

Mr. Kearney asked about the status of the energy audit concerning the roof. Mr. Wetmore stated
that URS found that a total replacement of the roof between the pool, tennis and rink would be
necessary. We are trying to coordinate that with the APR replacement to ensure a smooth
transition.

Mr. Scarl asked if the roof was stable enough to place an APR unit. Mr. Wetmore said URS had
there structural technician examined the roof and they may need to put a crossbeam to secure it.

PARKS:

st
The dedication of the fields will take place on May 21 at 9:00 a.m., which is the opening day for
Hot Stove. There will be a ceremony at the gazebo after the parade and the Mayor will be in
attendance.

The men’s restroom was painted and we have ordered new partitions for the women’s restroom.
