CENTER REPAIRS / WORK UPDATE CONT.:

We have replaced all the ceiling tiles and painted the grids for the entire building with the
exception of the administration office back hallway that is currently under construction.

REVENUE / EXPENSE:

Ms. Drenski reported on the revenue and expense for January and February 2012. We are
currently waiting for the budget to be approved by council. There are some funds that have
not been collected from January and February that will be reported in the March revenue.
Adult and Youth programming is the combination of Enrichment and I&T Sports programs
that we had in the past.

2012 BUDGET INFORMATION UPDATE:

Ms. Drenski stated that since we came in ahead of revenue last year there will be a rollover
for 2012 that will help with repairs etc.

PROGRAM UPDATE:

Ms. Drenski reported that in February we had National Skating Day with more than 500 people
in attendance. We also had the John Heil Tennis Tournament the same weekend and that was
sold out. The spring and summer newsletter is almost complete and will be mailed out before
the first of April. We are preparing for our annual Eggstravaganza that will be held at North
th
Olmsted Park on April 7 from 10:00-12:00, last year we had over 300 children in attendance.
The Service Department has purchased new equipment so they are able to make the banner for
our Easter event whereas last year we made it by hand because it was too expensive to buy.
th
They will be making our 4 of July banner as well. Summer camp registration opened February
stth
1 and is going very well. We are looking for 4 of July participants for the parade, any groups
or businesses that would like to join us should contact the Recreation Center.

The National Parks and Recreation Association has a company they use for background checks
for employee and volunteer applicants. Along with us saving time and money, this company
uses the standard for Park and Recreation guidelines as to what is acceptable or not. This
information was presented to the Mayor and Human Resource Director and are currently
waiting for approval.

COMMISSION MEMBER TOPICS:

Mr. Clancy asked for an update on the Tennis supervisor position.
