FITNESS CENTER / GYMNASTICS / FRONT DESK RENOVATION PROJECT:

Ms. Drenski presented to the members a first draft proposal for the new fitness center. After visiting
other recreation centers, gyms and vendors the equipment outlined in the proposal is the type of
equipment we would like to have. Since the fitness center will be located upstairs we had to have
a structural engineer come in to determine if the floor could withstand the weight of the equipment
we would like to have, it was certified that it could. Included in the projected budget summary are
all the components that are needed to complete this project such as electric, plumbing, HVAC,
windows, audio etc. Because of all the additional components it was determined by the administration
that an architect should plan and manage the project considering its complexity.

Ms. Drenski then presented the proposal for the Gymnastics area. Since there are steps that currently
lead to the tennis courts we are currently looking at options to install an ADA lift that will enable
patrons to access the area that would include a hallway around it so when you come in you would
have to go into an entrance to tennis or go into an entrance to gymnastics to separate those two areas.

Ms. Drenski then talked about the front desk area and the improvements that are needed. The plan is
to take down the existing wall around it excluding the back wall since it is a weight bearing wall and
put a door where the hallway is to make a more friendly open design area with one access point to the
front desk. The plan would also include removing and installing the current flooring in the front lobby,
back lobby and all the way back to tennis.

We are going to meet with the tennis patrons that are permanent court time holders to present
our new plan. We have put together a very fair plan to use the two courts that will be available by
designating one court a day for prime time for permanent court time, instruction time and still having
some open time. I do not foresee any problem filling the two courts.

COMMISSION MEMBER TOPICS:

None.

GUEST TOPICS:

None.

SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING:

Monday, June 3, 2013
