BUILDING REPAIRS:

The Ice Rink was shut down in June through the first week in July for rink repairs, the repairs
should get us through the next two years. If the levy passes in November then we will be able
to rebuild the rink in its entirety. Most of the catch basins in the parking lot are in the process
of being rebuilt, and asphalt patching for the parking lot will be done by the Service Department.

FRIENDS OF RECREATION:

Center. We joined the Association of Parks Foundation and we have been approved as a
5013c organization. Our articles were filed with the state and we have received a Federal
Tax ID number and a bank account, this will now allow us to receive donations. The goal
help get the word out for the campaign and the levy.
The group will continue to exist even after the levy to help support the Recreation Center
and its needs.

RECREATION RENOVATION UPDATES:

In September, we will have a presentation at the Recreation Center located on the tennis
courts to promote the renovations.* The Senior Open House will be held September 19.*
At a later date we will have a presentation in concession and offer tours of the Recreation
Center to go over the improvement areas.* There will also be an opportunity to come to
North Olmsted Park and receive information and have a guided walk around to discuss
the renovations planned for that area.*

*There is an update to the following presentations:
Senior Open house will be held September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Park Walk and Talk will be held September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Master Plan presentation will be held at the Community Cabin on October 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Recreation Center Open House will be held October 9 from 5:30 7:30 p.m.

RESIDENTS FOR RECREATION:

Jeff Peepers and the group will campaign to support the levy.
