Regular Meeting of the North Olmsted Civil Service Commission -- May 27, 1976 <br />Present were Commissioners John Grady, Bill Coming; Chairman Al Conte; and <br />Secretary James Kline. <br />Motion by Bill Coming, seconded by John Grady that the minutes of March 25, <br />1976 be accepted as submitted. <br />Passed. <br />Correspondence: <br />1. April 19, 1976 - Letter from Ray Carnahan, Safety Director, submitting <br />job description for Chief Building Inspector for the Building Dept. <br />2. April 21, 1976 - Letter sent to J. Robert Kraps, Board of Education, <br />submitting names from the certified lists of Head Custodian. <br />3. April 27, 1976 - Letter from Thomas Guttliep, Supervisor in the Bus <br />Department, informing the Commission of a Bus Operator's suspension. <br />4. May 3, 1976 - Letters from Henry Caster, informing the Commission of <br />personnel changes. <br />5. May 10, 1976 - Letter from J. Robert Kraps submitting information to <br />verify the certification of one bus operator for the Board of <br />Education -- Mr. Nick J. Gaul. <br />6. May 11, 1976 - Letter sent to J. Robert Krpas', submitting names from <br />- the certified clerk -typist list. <br />7. May 27, 1976 - Certification form for Bus Operators received from the <br />North Olmsted Bus Department, certifying the requirements as <br />ordered by the Commission for Civil Service Classified Status. <br />The two bus operators were Richard Atkinson and Kenneth Moss. <br />Old Business• <br />The Civil Service Commission started the meeting with a review and discussion <br />of a resolution which will establish the classification status of employees <br />in the Engineering, Building, Recreation Center, Waste -Water Treatment <br />Plant, and Service Departments of the City of North Olmsted. <br />After the Commission reviewed the resolution and made a number of changes, <br />the following resolution was passed with two conditions. The Commission <br />ordered the secretary to review present city ordinances for continuity of <br />positions and to have the City Law Director review as a consultant for any <br />possible legal problems. <br />
