CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE® <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />3 <br />Chief Taylor requested that the name of Norman Saborski be removed <br />from the police certified list because he cannot be located. His <br />name was entered into the Leads machine; the address given was <br />checked and he is not in residence there. A registered letter was <br />sent and the post office said it was not deliverable. Motion by <br />Harry Malone, seconded by Roger Alexander that the name of Norman <br />Saborski be decertified because he cannot be located to be recerti- <br />fied is his location becomes known. <br />Passed. <br />Chief Taylor's letter of August 29, 1979 regarding police applicant <br />Neal O'Malley was discussed along with the letter from Dr. Maldo- <br />nado stating that Mr. O'Malley does not conform with the weight <br />standards of the Civil Service Fitness Chart. Chief Taylor has <br />discussed this with Mr. O'Malley and advised him that he will <br />recommend that the Commission remove his name from -the police <br />certified list. Motion by Roger Alexander, seconded by Harry <br />Malone that the name of Neal O'Malley be removed from the police <br />certified list. <br />Passed. <br />The secretary will request a copy of the Civil Service .Fitness <br />Chart from Dr. Maldonado. <br />Motion by Harry Malone, seconded <br />advertisement for an examination <br />for the City be placed in which <br />necessity of being available to <br />rotating shifts. <br />Passed. <br />by W@lter Spalding that an <br />for the position of clerk -typist <br />salary is stated along with the <br />work evenings, weekends, and <br />James Supple and Cletis Perchinske, employees of the Municipal <br />Bus Line discussed with the Commission some problems which seem <br />to exist in regard to work misses and suspensions for missed time. <br />Motion by Roger Alexander, seconded by Harry Malone that the <br />Commission draft a statement concerning hearings on suspensions <br />of less than five.days in cases of alleged discriminatory practices. <br />Passed. Tabled until the next meeting. <br />Motion by Walter Spalding, seconded by Harry Malone to accept <br />application for the examination for Elementary School Head <br />Custodian and Secondary School Night Head Custodian to be given <br />on October 22, 1979 and for the examination for clerk -typist for <br />the Board of Education to be given on October 24, 1979• <br />Passed. <br />
