Request by Kenneth R. Neumann, Bus Operator, North <br />Olmsted City Municipal Lines for'an appeal hearing regarding a five day sus- <br />pension was denied by Commission members. The Civil Service Secretary was <br />instructed to inform Mr. Neumann of the Commission's decision. <br />2. Psychological Testing_ Services. Police Chief Marion Taylor requested the <br />Commission's permission to contact Psychological Resources Testing Services <br />with regard to the following areas: <br />1. Examination content <br />2. Test Administration <br />3. Evaluation of scores <br />4. Fee structure <br />Chief Taylor explained that his service would be utilized as an additional <br />interview tool. Certified candidates would be informed of this additional <br />procedure. Psychological evaluation.was considered by Chief Taylor to be an <br />important and necessary tool since the nature of police work required more <br />than the usual amount of emotional stability. Members of the Commission <br />agreed with Chief Taylor and granted permission to investigate and, if <br />appropriate, contract the services of Psychological Resources. The Civil <br />Service Secretary arranged to work with Chief Taylor in this matter. <br />3. Consideration and Appointment of Police Dispatacher. Chief Taylor re- <br />quested permission to consider and/or appoint one candidate from a list of <br />names taken from the Certified List for Police Radio Dispatcher. Request <br />granted. <br />4. Up -Date and Revision of North Olmsted Civil Service Laws. Mrs. Bahas <br />presented a format and proposed schedule for revising and up -dating the <br />North Olmsted Civil Service Rules. (See attached sheets.) Roger Alexander <br />and Philip Huffman respectively moved and seconded to accept the Revision <br />format and proposed schedule. <br />5. Annual Report. Civil Service Secretary Mrs. Bahas asked the members' <br />permission to request, on their behalf, information from the appropriate <br />City and School Bd. personnel concerning an up -date of Classified Payroll <br />Lists and a complete list of Classified and Un -classified Positions. A <br />further request would be made regarding the forwarding of status changes <br />of Classified Personnel directly to the Finance Dept. Compliance with this <br />request would insure a continuous up -date of Classified Personnel. Permission <br />granted. <br />6. Amendment of Application Information. Regarding an applicant's concern <br />that his personal information may be inaccurate due to his misinterpret- <br />ation or a question, Commission members made the following conclusions: <br />1. The application question was ambiguous and subject to mis- <br />interpretation. <br />
