MINUTES APRIL 28,1983
CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE®
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO
that the members of Council had agreed to fund the Civil Service Account
with additional moneys. Mrs. Bahas reported that she informed Council
that approximately$4,000 of the $6000.00 budgeted for the account was
already committed to bills incurred during the latter part of 1982 and
the first month of 1983. Council members were also informed by the Civil
Service Secretary that the Commission does not receive a monthly print-
Qat of the budget that the other departments receive. She requested that
the this statement be sent to the Commission so that supervision of the
expenses and receipts could be facillitated. Council directed the
Finance Director to repond to the Commission's request. They were also
informed that if the expense exceeded the ammount of the account, the
bill could not be encumbered and thus recorded. While this adheres to
the rules, a problem arises from the fact that there is no plan of
communication to inform the appropriate personnel that the bill is
not being processed. Mrs. Bahas remarked that to date she had not
received the budget print-out for the past month but would contact the
Finance Dept. and remind them to send it.
Old Business
Revision of the Rules and Regulations- Members of the Commission
read the proposed Introduction and the first part of the Rules dealing
with the formation and the organization of the Administration, the
duties and the responsibilities of the Commission Members and the Sec-
retary; and the definition of terms. suggestions and appropriate in-
