Civil Service Meeting - March 29, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Chief Sefcek advised us that they may be hiring a Cleveland Heights <br />Policeman and will let us know. <br />The Commissioners requested a copy of the test report to be sent to <br />Chief Marsh. <br />A letter was sent to Chief Van Kurn on March 28, 1990 with a list of <br />seven (7) people who are still interested in the Radio Dispatcher job. <br />This list dissolves our eligibility list and another test will need to <br />be given. <br />As of this time, no date has been issued for the Radio Dispatcher vacancy. <br />.The last test was given on May 10, 1989. <br />A letter was.received regarding vision requirement for the Police Officer <br />Examination. We sent this person a letter and told him/her that the <br />Civil Service Commission does not set the vision requirements and to <br />check with the Police Department. <br />A letter was sent to Chief Sefcek, Chief Van Kurn, Ron Wilamosky and <br />Ernest Gundy inviting them to our next meeting to discuss whether <br />credit should be given for paramedic and police acadamy background <br />along with military and educational credit. Peg Hill said that credit <br />is given in other cities for the above backgrounds. <br />Mini <br />As there was no further matters to be brought before the Commission, <br />the meeting adjourned a•t 5:20 pm. <br />THOMAS M.
