CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br />NORTH OLMSTED, 0141O <br />CIVIL SERVICE MEETING: December 19, 1991 <br />PRESENT: Chairman Henry Robinson, Commissioner Al Kovelan, <br />Secretary Tracy Ice <br />GUESTS: Ernest Gundy Safety Director, Chief Sefcek, Chief <br />Osterhouse, Jackqi Templeton of Westlife, Allan Burton <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED AS READ. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Henry Robinson said that the Correction Officer Test is scheduled <br />for January 8, 1992 at 7:00 pm at the North Olmsted Community Cabin. <br />The testing company who will be providing the test is the <br />International Personnel Management Association (IPMA). Civil <br />Service has received 64 applications back out of the 104 <br />applications which were picked up. The deadline to have the <br />applications in was December 16, 1991 which we extended a few extra <br />days due to the backed up holiday mail. <br />Mr. Gundy is reviewing the list that Ron Wilamosky sent Civil <br />Service with regards to who has Union/Non-Union Coverage. The <br />Commission will then get together with the Law Director and discuss <br />who should/should not be classified. <br />The Civil Service Commission received a sample test for the Building <br />Inspector vacancy from Cooperative Personnel Services CPS out of CA. <br />Mr. Gundy took the test to review and would like to see another <br />test. Tracy Ice advised Mr. Gundy that there is a paragraph essay <br />test available that costs $300 plus $12.00 per candidate which is <br />graded by a professional scorer, a Semi -Stock test which costs $250 <br />plus $11.00 per candidate (which is a test of questions that is made <br />up for our city)the testing company will keep it in stock for us to <br />use again and the third type of test is a test which has general <br />building inspector questions which costs $200 plus $5.50 per <br />candidate.) <br />The Rules and Regulations Handbook will be distributed to certain <br />individuals to make any necessary changes/additions that they feel <br />are necessary. Civil Service will then hand-out the Handbooks after <br />the changes have been made. <br />
