OLD BUSINESS Henry Robinson of the Civil Service Commission has been suspended from the Commission per Mayor Boyle's memo of 3-15-93 to Civil'Service. Henry Robinson resigned as of his letter dated March 29, 1993. Police Sergeant's Assessment was given on March 8; 1993. Envelopes were opened before this meeting and the results were hand carried to Chief Sefcek to distribute on March 30, 1993. The 6 candidates who took the test all passed and they now have a 10 day waiting period to protest any questions before Chief Sefcek can promote the top candidate. The Commission set the passing score at 70. Police Captain's assessment was given on February 8, 1993 envelopes were opened on February 18, 1993. Five candidates took the test and four candidates passed the exam. The Commission set the passing score at 70. Police Lieutenant's assessment was given on February 9,1993. Four candidates took the test and all candidates passed. The commission set the passing score at 70. Entry Level Fire Fighter's written test was given on March 8, 1993. Forty-one candidates took the test, 34 candidates passed the test and 20 candidates will take the agility test which is scheduled for May 1, 1993 at the North Olmsted High School gym. St. John & West Shore will administer the test. Civil Service will have to pay a fee to use the gym on Saturday. There are usually two people from the commission at the test. One to sign in and one to observe. There is a two week turn around time to get results. The Lewis Robinson's case has been dismissed. A Secretarial II test will be given as soon as possible. Ron Wilamosky gave Tracy Ice a copy of the job description for this position and will give Tracy the pay rate. We hope to give the test in June at the North Olmsted High School. McCann will be the testing company and then there will be a typing test given (minimum 45 wpm). The Commission decided to set the application fee at $15.
