CIVIL SERVICE MEETING MINUTES <br />MARCH 25, 1993 <br />PAGE 4 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Ron Wilamosky said that the -contract is in effect! Ron said that <br />Marella is not a bargaining employee but an administrative employee. <br />We gave bargaining rates plus a 2 1/2% increase to compensate for lack <br />of benefits which the administrative positions do not receive. Ron <br />also said that the.City has had problems getting good part time <br />employees. We credited them 50% of their part time service. <br />Ron Wi1amosky also said that -presently Marella is paid in accordance <br />with the Organizational Charter in a salary range which was <br />established by Council. <br />Jim Hines agreed that this is not a Civil Service Commission issue <br />that it is a City Administration issue. Jim would like the Mayor and <br />Chief Osterhouse to send the commission their:interruptions in writing <br />regarding Marella's service credit. <br />The Mayor said that he will give Civil Service Marella's service <br />credit letters. He also said that if there are ever any contract <br />flaws that they will be corrected. The pay raises are effective <br />retroactive to January 1, 1993. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />As there were no other issues to be brought before the Commission, the <br />meeting adjourned at 5:40 pm.
