C7
0
CIVIL SERVICE MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 28, 1993
PAGE 2
OLD BUSINESS
Per the Commissions request, the Commission received a letter from Ron
Wilamosky and Chief Osterhouse regarding Marella Varanese's service
credit. The Chief feels that there is a double standard on how a
person is paid and who they are? The Commission decided to wait until
our next meeting and will ask Mike Gareau to attend our next meeting
so that we can resolve this issue.
NEW BUSINESS
Since the Commission at this time only has two Commissioners, they
decided to temporarily change the meeting time to 7:00 pm and the
meeting will be held at the Town Hall.
The Commission also mentioned there is no more money under Civil
Service Testing. Therefore, the commission wrote letters to Mr. Burns
and the Mayor asking that they approve an interim budget appropriation
for $10,000. This will allow us to continue operating until a final
budget request can be submitted. The Commission would like to
continue with the,Secretarial II test and put on hold the Dispatcher
test.
ADJOURNMENT
As there were no other issues to be brought before the Commission, the
meeting adjourned -at -8:30 pm. Our next Civil Service Meeting is
scheduled for MAY 27, 1993 at 7:00 pm at TOWN HALL.
Chairman, Jim Hines
Secre a Tracy Ice
