CIVIL SERVICE MEETING MINUTES JUNE 1, 1993 PAGE 2 OLD BUSINESS At the end of this meeting the commission went over the results of the Fire Fighter's Physical Agility Test which was given on May 1, 1993 at the North Olmsted High School Gym. We had expected 20 candidates for the agility test but only 14 showed up. Eleven candidates passed and three failed. The Commission set the passing scores as follows: PUSH UPS MUST DO 25 OR BETTER IN ONE MINUTE. STAIR CLIMB MUST DO IT IN 55 SECONDS OR LESS. 165 LB DUMMY DRAG MUST DO IT IN 12 SECONDS OR LESS. 95 LB BAG CARRY MUST DO IT IN 7.5 SECONDS OR LESS. JOIST WALK MUST DO IT IN 40 SECONDS OR LESS. FORCIBLE ENTRY MUST' DO IT IN 15 SECONDS OR LESS. LADDER OPERATION MUST DO IT IN 50 SECONDS`OR LESS. 1/2 MILE SHUTTLE RUN MUST DO IT IN 5 MINUTES OR LESS. This Commission also decided that to pass this agility test that each candidate would have to pass 7 out of the 8 parts. The top three candidates' applications were sent to Chief Osterhouse so that he can start his background investigations to fill his one opening. NEW BUSINESS THE CIVIL SERVICE MEETINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO THE THIRD'MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7`:00 PM AT OLD TOWN HALL. Attached is a Recapitulation list for all the positions which we had tested for. ADJOURNMENT As there were no other issues to be brought before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.
