DATE: CORRESPONDENCE DESCRIPTION <br />2/19/99 Received The law department has submitted their evaluation regarding the Fire Chiefs oral <br />assessment protest. <br />2/19/99 Received The Ohio Fire Chiefs Association has submitted their evaluation of the oral assessment <br />2/18/99 Sent Assistant Law Director, Dubelko was fax the oral assessment protest for his opinion. <br />2/18/99 Sent civil Service Secretary, Rote sent a memo to the following: Fire Captains, Bak, Gettens, <br />Hohenfeld, Klecan, Safety Director, Jenkins, and Fire Chief Osterhouse, apologizing and <br />notifying them to disregard the letter dated 2/19/99 as Fire Chiefs exam is not completed. <br />2/17/99 Received Civil Service office received the results of the Fire Chiefs written exam. <br />2/17/99 1 Received I Civil Service office received a protest regarding the Fire Chiefs or assessment. <br />2/17/99 Sent The Fire Chiefs promotional protest was faxed to Fire Chief Lee, from the Ohio Fire Chiefs <br />Association. For his evaluation. <br />2/16/99 Received Civil Service office received the results of the Fire Chiefs oral assessments. <br />2/12/99 Sent Letters were sent to the following Captains, Gregory Gettens Edward Bak, Thomas <br />Klecan, and Jeffery Hohenfeld inviting them to participate in the Assistant Fire Chiefs <br />promotional exam. <br />2/10/99 Sent A letter was sent to the individual who submitted a resume informing him there were no <br />further openings as the application deadline had passed. The letter further advised the <br />applicant that his name would be added to a mailing list to receive a copy of the ad that <br />would be placed in the newspaper for the next Police Entry test given. <br />2/9/99 Received Received a resume requesting a job as a Police officer. <br />2/05/99 Received Chief Osterhouse submitted the Seniority and Evaluation Points for each Captain <br />participating in the Fire Chief Exam. <br />1/28/99 Sent Letter to entry level Police candidate advising his application was incomplete and therefore <br />unable to participate in the Police exam. Said letter also advised candidate he was not <br />entitled to a refirnd of his $30.00. <br />1/25/99 Received A letter from the provisionally hired Police secretary indicating she received a copy of the <br />provisional lire requirements. <br />1/21/99 Received Certified letter from entry level Police candidate requesting a waiver of the $30.00 written <br />examination fee. <br />1/18/99 Sent E -Mail reminder to Police Department requesting a signed provisional hire letter from the <br />newly lured secretary. <br />1/18/99 Received E -Mail from Fire Chief, Secretary Mar Varanese with the names and date of hire for all six <br />Fire Lieutenants. <br />1/15/99 Sent registered e-mail memo to all Fire Lieutenant's suggesting no further recommended <br />reading books be purchase until Civil Service Commissioners make a final riling. <br />Jan -Feb. Received Registered E -Mail receipts from Fire Fighters who received the Lieutenant's recommended <br />reading memo dated 1/15/99. <br />5 <br />
