0
J
seconded by L. Zolar and unanimously approved. NOTE: In the framing of the motion Mr. Swope.
questioned if the information he had faxed to the Civil Service office was proof enough. The clerk
pulled his application to review what she had received and indicated that the application would be
considered complete. Mr. Farrell questioned the clerk as to who she felt met the requirements. The
clerk indicated that she would review all of the applications again and contact those who did not
have the proper information in their packets. The packets, which are incomplete, will remain pulled
and if the required information is not received by the night of the test, those applicants will not be
allowed to take the test.
B) The Commission needs to correct the motion made on the following applicants:
1. Scott Buettner, Paramedic card expired 3/31/00.
2. Gregory R. Kolar, no proof -in paramedic class (letter is not possible).
3. George M. Cehelnik, need proof in paramedic class (unpaid bill does not prove in class).
4. Martin D'Amico, no proof in paramedic class or paramedic.
5. Anthony V. Gandolfi, no proof in paramedic class or paramedic.
6. Jeff Dudas, no proof in paramedic class or paramedic.
Mr. Thomay indicated that at the last meeting a mistake was made as the motion to have the above
candidates removed was out of order. The application states that each applicant has until the day of
the test to show that they qualify to take the exam.
J. Thomay motioned to rescind the previous motion to- disqualify candidates: Scott Buettner,
Gregory R. Kolar,. George M. Cehelnik, Martin D'Amico, Anthony V. Gandolfi, and Jeff Dudas
from taking the firefighters entry level examination. These candidates will have until the date of the
test to show proof that either, 1. they are a certified paramedic or 2. they are in a state certified
paramedic course. The motion was seconded by P. Farrell and unanimously approved.
C) Chapters 7, 8, 9 and 10 need to be reviewed for possible changes.
Mr. Thomay indicated that the clerk had an emergency in her family this evening so chapters 7, 8, 9
and 10 will be tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting.
J. Thomay motioned to table chapters 7, 8, 9 and 10 until the next regularly scheduled meeting. The
motion was seconded by L. Zolar and unanimously approved.
ADJOURNMENT:
J. Thomay motioned to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by P. Farrell and
unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 7:30pm.
Thomay, Chairman
Donna Rote, Civil Service Secretary
