Dayid is an
applicant for the North Olmsted Fire Department and is here today for analysis of his visual acuity and
status.
Upon examination, his uncorrected distance vision was 20/25 in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye.
This is improveable to 20,124 in each eye. His near vision is 20/20 in each eye without correction, his
eyes are well aligned and his stereo vision is normal. During color vision testing, a mild red, green defect
was noted. Visual field limitations were normal. Pressures were normal as well as external examination.
Interior examinations were found to be normal.
In summary, David Stein would pass all appropriate testing for a fire fighter with the one exception of
color vision. David is able to distinguish red fmm green in almost all situations. However, he is mildly
deficient in the red/green discrimination. I ain unaware of ally specific types of testing that are required
by the North Olmsted Department, In my opinion, the mildness of his deficiency would not affect his job
performanoe.
I hope this letter is helpful to you in your consideration of Mr. David Stein. If you have any further
questions or conceri s, please do not hesitate to contact me at my office.
Sincerely,
Todd A.
