v <br />asked how far along we had gotten in the process and wondered if any money was spent. Mrs. <br />Kilbane indicated she believes that no money was spent, but she will verify that with Mrs. Rote, the <br />Civil Service Secretary. She said all newspaper ads were pulled in time and added that there was no <br />signed contract with the testing company that had been selected. <br />Chairman Thomay motioned to rescind the previous motion to hire CPS to administer the building <br />inspector examination until such time as the hiring freeze is lifted. He motioned that all other <br />motions made at the special meeting of March 1, 2002 be revoked. Mrs. Martin seconded the <br />motion. The motions of the special meeting of March 1, 2002 to be revoked are as follows: <br />1. J. Thomay motioned to choose CPS as the testing company. The motion was seconded by R. <br />Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />2. J. Thomay motioned to set the time and place of the Buildings Inspectors exam to be April 26, <br />2002 at Old Town Hall. The motion was seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />3. J. Thomay motioned to set the passing score of the Building Inspectors test at 70%. The motion <br />was seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />4. J. Thomay motioned to place the ad on the following dates; Westlife, Wednesday, March 6, <br />2002, Chronicle, Friday, March 8, 2002 and Plain Dealer, Sunday, March 10, 2002. The motion <br />was seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />5. J. Thomay motioned to approve the application packet as submitted. The motion was seconded <br />by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />6. R. Giesser motioned to have the Chairman administer the test and the clerks be monitors. The <br />motion was seconded by J. Thomay and unanimously approved. <br />7. Mr. Thomay motioned to set the next meeting date to Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The motion was seconded by R.
