Formulas to be used to determine the weighted scores shall be the following: <br />Weighted Written Score: <br />Divide 80 by the number of total questions on the Written Component, result being x. <br />multiply number of correct answers on the Written Component by x. Do not round. The <br />result is the. Weighted Written Score. <br />For example, answering 34 questions correctly on a Written Component with 40 total <br />questions shall result in a Weighted Written Score of 68 points [80 / 40 = 2, 34 x 2 = 68]. <br />Weighted Essay Score: . <br />Assign an integer to the quality of the essay in the Essay Component from 0 to 10, 10 <br />representing the highest quality essay. Multiply this number by 10, result being z. Divide z <br />by 5. The result is the Weighted Essay Score. <br />For example, an essay in the Essay Component awarded 7 points shall result in a Weighted <br />Essay Score of 14 points [7 x 10 / 5 = 14]. <br />Formula to be used to determine the Final Score shall be the following: <br />Final Score: <br />Add Weighted Written Score to Weighted Essay Score. The result, from 0 to 100 points, <br />is the Final Score. <br />Section 10: Entry -Level Clerical: <br />Clerical applicants, e.g., clerk -typist and secretarial applicants shall pass a written <br />examination and pass a proficiency evaluation. The proficiency evaluation shall include <br />typing, word processing and data entry computer skills. Such proficiency evaluation shall <br />be administered by any person, group of persons or firm designated to do so by the <br />Commission. The proficiency evaluation will be administered as a part of the interview <br />process. Any applicant who fails the proficiency evaluation will be removed from the <br />eligible list. The proficiency evaluation shall be based on a pass/fail basis. <br />Section 11: Other Testable Positions: <br />Applicants for all other positions deemed testable by the Civil Service Commission shall <br />be required to meet all qualifications for the position as stipulated in the published public <br />notice and shall be required to successfully pass all required testing and all other <br />requirements established by the Commission. The Civil Service Commission of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall not render service to the North Ohnsted Board of Education in <br />accordance with Ordinance 93-02. <br />Section 12: Examination Postponement: <br />Entry -Level examinations, unless postponed, shall be held upon dates fixed by the <br />Commission.
