CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION INDEX FOR 2006 MEETINGS JANUARY 23, 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to approve the minutes with the changes. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to amend Rule XII Section 3a to read "The probationary period for entry- level firefighter and police candidates shall begin on the date of swearing in and shall be in accordance with a standing collective bargaining agreement: and absent direction from a collective bargaining agreement shall be in accordance with State Law". Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept Rule XIV as drafted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Hohmann made a motion to nominate Mr. Ubaldi as Chairman to the Civil Service Commission. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the 2006 Civil Service calendar. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion that the Civil Service Commission certify the following five (5) names on the Firefighters Entry -Level Eligibility List to the appointing authority, the Safety Director: Matthias Burke, Daniel Holstein, Michael Fusco, Brian Gallagher, and Shaun Kaza. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Hohmann made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 pm. Mr. Ubaldi seconded the motion and unanimously approved. FEBRUARY 27, 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to amend the Rules and Regulations manual as outlined. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to removed Daniel Holstein from the Firefighters Entry -Level Eligibility List pursuant to Rule VII, Section 8, k (Disqualification and Notice) which is pursuant to the O.R.C. 124.42 on account of the age limit. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to certify Kirt Strahinic to the Firefighters Entry -Level Eligibility List. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion for William Hohmann to be elected to Vice Chairman to the Civil Service Commission. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
