CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION INDEX FOR 2006 MEETINGS Mr. Hohmann made a motion to accept the Civil Service Report of Activities for the Calendar Year of 2005. Mr. Ubaldi seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion pursuant to a violation of rule VII, Eligible List, Section 8, disqualification and Notice, sub -section a, "The eligible person's application contains a false statement or a material omission", verified by the Safety Department that Migdelio Carmargo's name be removed from the list. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to certify Mark Kassnel on the Police Entry -Level Eligibility List and forward a copy of his application to the appointing authority. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. MAY 159 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes of April 17, 2006 as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the language and leave the specific format to the discretion of the secretary. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to send a notice for disqualification to Joseph Hum under Rule Vii "Eligible List", Section 8 "Disqualification and Notice", sub -section c "The eligible person fails to report for, or arrange, within six (6) days (Sundays and holidays excluded) of the post -marked date on his notification, an interview with the appointing authority" and sub -section I "The eligible person fails any other requirement as specified by the Commission or the appointing authority". Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion per the request of the Safety Department to certify five (5) candidates on the firefighters Entry -Level Eligible List. They are as follows: Matthias Burke, Michael Fusco, Shaun Kasza, Joseph Hum, and Michael Cipriano. Michael Cipriano's application packet will be forwarded to the Safety Director. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion that the Civil Service Commission instructs the secretary to send the Request for Qualifications with the changes to the responding testing companies. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion that the Civil Service Commission designates the three (3) positions as follows: the new part-time Assistant Director of Law is unclassified; the legal secretary providing secretarial services to all attorneys in the Law Department is classified and testable; and the addition of a part-time law clerk is unclassified. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
