CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION INDEX FOR 2006 MEETINGS Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to certify the name of Mark Carbone to the Eligible List for Entry -Level Firefighter and forward a copy of his application packet to the appointing authority. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion that the Civil Service Commission recommend the City of North Olmsted enter into a contract with Ramsey & Associates for the service for the Promotional Police Chief examination. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. AUGUST 21, 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes of June 19, 2006 and August 8, 2006 as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion pursuant to the obligations for Civil Service for preparing for the promotional examination for Police Chief for the City of North Olmsted, the Civil Service Commission authorize the drafting and distribution of a letter of intent, cover letter, public posting, reference the examination's date as September 2, 2006. The passing score for the examination shall be set as 70% of total points possible. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. SEPTEMBER 12, 2006 (Special Meeting) Mr. Ubaldi made a motion for the extra credit to be applied is derived from the efficiency ratings and seniority. Both candidates have exceeded fourteen (14) years and will receive ten (10) points; both candidates received in their most recent efficiency rating a rating of "exceeds expectation" and will receive one (1) point with a total of 11 points each. The final scores are: candidate #1, Wayne Wozniak, 105.55% and candidate #2, Kevin Whelan, 101.50%. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to forward a memo to the Safety Department the Civil Service certification of an eligible list for the rank of Police Chief. Rank #1 is Wayne Wozniak and rank #2 is Kevin Whelan with an expiration date of September 12, 2008. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. SEPTEMBER 18, 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes of August 11, 2006, August 21, 2006 and September 12, 2006 as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to certify the following five (5) names on the Police Entry -Level Eligible List and forward a copy of Steven Yanke's application to the appointing authority subject to the actual vacancy date: Jack Cook Jr., Jason Ziemnik, Scott Harper, Mark Kassnel, and Steven Yanke. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
