CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION INDEX FOR 2006 MEETINGS Mr. Ubaldi made a motion, contingent upon the removal of Steven Yanke, certifies Russell Ringwall to the appointing authority along with a copy of his application. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the 2007 calendar as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to create an eligible list for Police Captain as follows: Rank 41 — Jamie Gallagher — 91.72% (101.72% - with extra credit points); Rank #2 — Steven Wolf — 89.75% (99.75% - with extra credit points); Rank #3 — Robert Flynn — 88.70% (98.70% - with extra credit points); Rank #4 — Ron Cox — 79.35% (89.35% with extra credit points). The Civil Service Commission will certify to the appointing authority the Police Captain Eligible List and name Lieutenant Jamie P. Gallagher as the highest scoring candidate. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to hold a competitive Promotional Police Lieutenant's written examination on Saturday, December 30, 2006 and an oral assessment on Saturday, January 13, 2007. The candidates must pass the written examination in order to proceed with the oral assessment. The posting will include four (4) references: Character and Cops Ethics in Policing; Developing the Leader Within You; North Olmsted Police Department Manual; City of North Olmsted and Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Council for the Officer and Patrolmen of the North Olmsted Police Department Contract Agreement; passing score for written examination is 70%; both written and oral assessment is weighted at 50% each; location and time to be determined prior to the posting; "Letter of Intent" and cover letter with due date one week after notification. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. DECEMBER 18, 2006 Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to remove Steven Yanke's name from the Police Entry -Level Eligible List. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to finalize necessary details between now and the next meeting for the purposes of holding a Promotional Police Sergeant Examination. Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
