r <br />LY <br />VI. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Appeal, to Commission, of Decision to Lay Off the Classified Secretary H Position at the North <br />Olmsted Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Appeal, to Commission, of Decision to Lay Off the Classified Secretary H Position at the North <br />Olmsted Building Department <br />The Commission received a pair of appeals on October 18th and October 19th and shall schedule a <br />hearing for both appeals on November 13th at 8:00 pm. The parties can submit no longer than five <br />(5) pages, single sided briefs by Thursday, 12:00 noon. The primary objective is to enable the <br />applicant and the respondent to have a full and fair hearing. The Commission could invite the briefs <br />and indicate that declining to submit a brief would not be factor in the Commission's judgment. <br />The Law Department indicated that the Commission does not have to decide on the appeal on the <br />spot. The hearing and the decision process are two (2) distinct processes. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to schedule hearings respectively for the appeals from Mary <br />Ramirez and Sandie Agresta on November 13, 2007 at 8:00 pm. and notify all parties required <br />with the instructions that have been given. Ms. Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously <br />approved. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to cancel the regular scheduled meeting, November 19, 2007. Ms. <br />Zolar seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to adjourn at 8:00 pm.
