A
suggestion was made to changing the minimum time in a given rank of firefighter to forty-eight (48)
months, keeping police to thirty-six (36) months and accepting new language; removing the
respective strikethrough "b" sections and as a result in Section 3 a and b will become Section 3;
amend Section 2 b. As for Section 1, a recommendation was made to accept the changes.
A general discussion followed regarding Rule II, Section 1 a, the status on legal aliens. The
proposed language is consistent with the State Statue. A recommendation was made to adopt the
new language.
Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to accept the language suggested by the Law Department for Rule
II, Section 1 a and any of the dispositive discussions on rule changes be adopted as well.
