CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES - MAY 199 2014 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />L ROLL CALL: Chairman J. Barrett called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: J. Barrett, M. Hayes and K. Rahm <br />ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director C, Farver, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, S. <br />Barrett, and Civil Service Secretary D. Eccleston <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />The Civil Service minutes dated February 24, 2014, March 10, 2014 and April 21, 2014 have been <br />submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of the <br />February 24, 2014 meeting be approved as received. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of the March <br />10, 2014 special meeting be approved as received. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of the April 21, <br />2014 meeting be approved as received. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 24 items of correspondence received and 13 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission, <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Patrol Officer Eligible List <br />The City has hired another Patrol Officer. His name is Hasim Welch -Bey and started on May 19, <br />2014. The next name on the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List is Andrew March and his <br />name will need to be certified. <br />Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to certify the name of Andrew <br />March on the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
