Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to remove David Boss, Steven Fedorko, Eric Dorst, Kristen Ferrar, and Donovan Flynn from the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List due to receipt of voluntary removal letters. Motion passed unanimously. Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to certify names of Ryan Malone, Eric Dorst, Kristen Ferrar, Mathew Gatien, Donovan Flynn, Ryan Malone, Patrick Edmonds, and Justin Clark from the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to certify the amended Entry - Level Patrol Officer Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Chairman Barrett. moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, for the secretary to send letters requesting the status of the remaining seventeen (17) candidates on the Entry -Level Patrol Officer List. Motion passed unanimously. Hearings Regarding Removal of Names on the Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List General discussion commenced regarding hearing letters and agility certifications. Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to remove Kevin Gannon, Kevin Lachowski, and Michael DeSiero pursuant to Rule VII, Section 9 on the basis of invalid agility certifications. The candidates were not present. Motion passed unanimously. Review Application Packets for Entry -Level Clerical Examination Letters were sent to the applicants that are taking the Clerical Examination informing them of their date and time of the test. One application was rejected due to a personal check and two other applications were reviewed. Amend August, 2014 Meeting Date Chairman Barrett moved, seconded by Commissioner Hayes, to cancel the regular meeting of August 18, 2014, and have a Special Civil Service Meeting August 11, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. to accept the results of the Entry -Level Clerical Examination results and certify the eligible list. Motion passed unanimously. An update was given by legal counsel B. O'Malley regarding the Common Pleas Court concerning Brian Bieiozer. The brief was filed today and the City's brief is due August 18, 2014.
