, A <br />ANNUAL REPORT - 1966 <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Number of Meetings - 13 <br />James McEntee - - <br />- 11 <br />William Gilbert - <br />- 12 <br />Albert Danaberg - <br />- 8 <br />Robert Hebebrand - <br />- 12 <br />Irwin Seidel - - - <br />- 5 <br />Regular Meeting - January 8, 1966 <br />Withdrawal of appeal by Harry Sutmiller to build block above grade <br />detached garage, <br />Mr. Gundy stated Premium Joint Pipe is to be used inside property line <br />in new subdivisions only, per City Engineer's recommendations. <br />Regular Meeting - February 5, 1966 <br />Letter from Clerk of Council stating Ordinance #65-312 Minimum Standards <br />for Residential Pools and Ordinance #65-282 Minimum Thickness for Ply- <br />wood Sheathing have been adopted. <br />Mr. McEntee made motion ARTICLE III -Sec. 1 Building Code Board of Appeals <br />By -Laws be ammended to read: 'Meetings shall be held the fourth Tuesday <br />4 of the month, 7:30 P.M. at City Hall, with hearings heard at 8:00 P.M.' <br />William Gilbert, seconded, unanimous. <br />Public hearing required by Ord. #63-224, appeal by J. Augustas to move <br />1 1/2 story frame dwelling from 23628 David Dr. to P.P. 231-5-58 Clifford <br />Road. Mr. Gilbert made motion to reject the appeal as house would be <br />too large to conform with existing homes, Mr. Hebebrand seconded, unanimous. <br />Election of officers: Mr. Dansberg made motion to re-elect James McEntee, <br />Chairman and Robert Hebebrand, Secretary, Mr. Gilbert seconded. <br />Mr. Dansberg made motion to re-elect William Gilbert Vice -Chairman, <br />Mr. McEntee seconded. <br />Walls below grade and meaning of liveable floor area discussed -3 foot <br />below grade is considered liveable floor area. Discussed use of masonry <br />walls, will be looked into further to see if any improvement can be made. <br />Regular Meeting - February 22, 1966 <br />Restaurant Hood Ordinance; Mr. Gilbert stated he has recommended to <br />Council the use of CO2 or dry powder for fire extinguishing material. <br />E.J. Gundy letter of February 22, 1966 read. Builders to install <br />4" x 8" x 16" block on footer prior to installation of bearing wall. <br />Public hearing required by Ord. #63-224, appeal by J. Augustas to move <br />1 1/2 story frame dwelling from 23628 David Dr. to 4578 Clague Road. <br />Mr. Dansberg made motion Bldg. Dept. issue permit iff the following con- <br />ditions are met: square foot area, sideline and setback restrictions <br />met, house completed and landscaping in within 6 months, unless Inter- <br />state 80 is going through, then permit is to be denied. Seconded by <br />Mr. McEntee, unanimous. <br />
