- 2 - Annual Report - 1966 <br />Board of Building Code Appeals <br />Regular Meeting - March 22, 1966 <br />Letter from Clerk of Council stating Ordinance #66-63 Residential <br />Pool Standards, Boardts recommendations have been adopted, but <br />Item (b) Concrete Base shall read: 4" minimum thickness, deleting <br />'discretion of building official.' <br />Fernco Joint Sealers were discussed. Board will discuss this further <br />before adopting proposed use of the sealer. <br />No Meeting - April 1966 -to be held May 102 1966 <br />Regular Meeting - May 10, 1966 <br />Discussion on Fernco Joint Sealers. Will be put in committee for <br />further study. <br />Public Hearing required by Ord. #2806, appeal by S. A. Kadar to build <br />two-story dwelling at S.L. 286 Porter Road. Mr. McEntee made motion <br />to deny appeal as house would not conform with existing houses. <br />Mr. Dansberg seconded, unanimous. <br />Mr. Gundy will subscribe to Practical Builder and American Builders <br />magazines* for the Board's use. <br />Regular Meeting - May 24, 1966 <br />Fernco Joint Sealers: unanimous decision of the Board to ask a repre- <br />sentative to appear at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Gundy stated new Grading Ordinance has been established. $300.00 <br />bond required with maximum of $1500.00 on five homes or more. City <br />Engineer to approve grading. <br />S, A. Kadar ageared stating Board's recommendation to build 1 1/2 story <br />house on his &0 foot lot in Zone B district would be too large to conform <br />with existing houses. Unanimous decision to write to Chairman of Council <br />Design & Platting Committee requesting this subdivision be Classified <br />Zone C to conform with homes in the area, as there are many vacant 40 foot <br />lots. <br />Regular Meeting - June 28, 1966 <br />Mr, Sehonover, representative of Fernco Joint Sealers appeared. Will <br />be put into committee for further study and Mr. Schonover will be <br />notified of Boardts decision. <br />Public hearing required by Ord. #63-224, appeal by Lewis S. Steer to <br />move house from 28975 Lorain Road to P.P. 234-14-11 Lorain Road, setback <br />of 1501 requested. Unanimous decision of Board to approve moving house <br />if setback and sideline restrictions are met, landscaping in and house <br />eoffi leted within 8 months, subject to Law Directorts approval on the <br />setback requirement. <br />E <br />
