f Page 2 - Annual Report - 1967 - Board of Building Code Appeals <br />The need for a housing code wcs discussed and it was decided to obtain copies <br />of Ordinance #2335 and housing codes of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights and <br />Shaker Heights for the Board to study. <br />Speeir�l Meeting- April 6, 1967 <br />Public Hearing required by Ordinance #64-113, requested by l�delbert Kleine, to <br />use concrete block on the north and west walls o£ a building at 26674 Lorain <br />Road. Mr. Gilbert moved that the application be rejected on the basis that <br />brick in renuired to upgrade the commercial areas and other builders have been <br />forced to comply. Mr. Seidel ;seconded the motion, unrinimously paused. <br />Regular Meeting - April 19, 1.967 <br />Letter from Council requesting Building Boars to check into the possibility <br />of bonding and licensing other contractors (possibly roofers, painters, land- <br />scapers, etc.). Copies of present fee schedules were presented for study. <br />Public Hearing required by Ordinance #2806, requested by Stephen Kadar, to <br />build a split-level dwelling at Permanent Parcel #235-1-1-89 Burns Road. Mr. <br />Dansberg moved to grant this reouest provided sideline restrictions and set- <br />back restrictions are met and grading to be completed within six months from <br />date of permit. Mr. Gilbert seconded the motion. Unnnimnusly approved. <br />Mr. Gilbert questioned whether or not block garage specifications required by <br />the Board for a garage located at 6094 Burns Road had been met. Mr. Gundy will <br />inspect and advise if it conforms. <br />Letter regarding recuest for assistance in interpretation of Building Code for <br />possible violation. Involved moisture in basement of home built by Roger <br />Clingma.n. After discussion, the Board determined thiF to be a Code violation <br />of Ordinance #2645. Mr. Dansberg moved that Mr. Clingmen be instructed to <br />correct same within 30 days and to be started within 10 days, that Mr. <br />Clingman's Contractor Registration be removed if this is not complied with. <br />Mr. McEntee seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. <br />Reg alar Meeting, - May 17, 1967 <br />Public Hearing required by Orc'inance #2806, recuented by Marjak Development <br />Co. to use block on rear wall of proposed Topps Department :tore, to be built <br />on Creat Northern Boulevard, in violation of Ordinance /164-313 which rec,uires <br />brick above grade. Mr. Gilbert moved that the request not be approved. Mr. <br />Seidel seconded the motion. Unanimously pnsned. <br />Sewer test taken by Glenn R. Woodard. of North Ridgeville was checked. <br />Re7ula.r Meeting - June 28, 1967 <br />Proposed electrical code was discussed. It was :roved by Mr. Gilbert and seconded <br />by Mr. McEntee that the Building Department review the code and re -submit a <br />more reasonable recommended code. Unanimously approver. <br />Public Hetiring required by Urdinrjricci #63-221,, rtiou f-A.vd by George lar-llcn, to <br />move a house from 26674 Lorain Road to Permanent Pnrccl #235-11-77 Forter Road. <br />Mr. Dansberg moved and Mr. Gilbert seconded that the Building Department issue <br />a permit subject to sideline restrictions and setback restrictions being ,net <br />and complete grading done within six months from date of permit. Unanimously <br />passed. <br />
