TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS AT A PUBLIC HEARING <br />held at City Hall, City of North Olmsted, Ohio <br />on Wednesday, February 21, 1968. <br />CASE OF MINNIE SCHMELLER: <br />IN ATTENDANCE: <br />FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />NORTH OLMSTED BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS: <br />Robert Hebebrand, Chairman <br />William Gilbert, Secretary <br />Irwin Seidel <br />Albert Dansberg <br />Frank Lord, Assistants Law Director <br />FOR: MINNIE SCHMELLER: <br />R. E. Hoehn, Attorney with the firm of Roemisch & Wright. <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />E. J. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />Virginia Hodgins, Ward 2, Councilman <br />Ruth Gaetano, a neighbor <br />Ken Kendall, a neighbor <br />Mr. Lord and Mr. Hoehn had a discussion regarding the case <br />prior to the actual hearing before the Board of Building <br />Code Appeals. <br />The hearing was opened by the Chairman, Mr. Hebebrand at 8:00 P.M. <br />MR. HOEHN: "I would like to withdraw our appeal and let the <br />building in question be demolished". <br />CHAIRMAN: "It appears we can cancel the meeting and can say <br />the matter has been settled between the City of North Olmsted <br />and the attorney for Mrs. Schmeller". <br />CHAIRMAN: "What about the root cellar. I was Just wondering <br />when the barn was demolished whether that would also be <br />demolished, as we would like to clean up the property,,, and <br />have the lot graded. Who will demolish the building . <br />MR. GUNDY: "They have the opportunity to demolish it <br />themselves. Council creates a resolution and the authorities <br />are notified, and they have the opportunity to demolish. <br />We only move in when they decide, but it will probably take <br />another three or four months to demolish." <br />CHAIRMAN: "Do you people who came into the meeting have <br />anything to say?" <br />MR. KENDALL: "Does that mean they are going to burn it". <br />
