Note: COAs issued in 2006 for siding and windows,
minor change approved for patio in 2016.
Mr. Tigue said they moved into the house three years ago and the stairs were a safety hazard
when they bought it. They would like to install a Trex stoop and replace the three-foot wide
sidewalk with bricks to match the rear patio. Mr. Neville asked about the color of the steps, Mr.
Tigue said they would be silver maple as shown in the provided color sheet. The stairs would be
rounded along both sides of the stoop. Mr. Tigue said the home is a three bedroom bungalow
ranch home built in 1954. Ms. Lieber asked if the Trex would be used for the railing and the
stairs, Mr. Tigue said it would be. Ms. Lieber pointed out that the plans will be governed by the
Residential Code of Ohio, even though the IRC is noted on the drawings. Mr. Neville asked if
there would be one or two sets of stairs as the deck plan and landscape plan show different
configurations. Mr. Tigue said there would be steps down two sides of the deck. Mr. Neville did
not think the proposal was inappropriate for the style of the house.
Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to approve the Certificate of
Appropriateness for a new front stoop for 19-13960; Jeff Tigue; 25655 Butternut Ridge
Road, motion passed 6-0.
COMMUNICATIONS
